I am not sure of your age (sorry to ask) but you will not be able to claim DLA or the new PIP, allowance if you are over 65 , but you should be able to apply for Attendance Allowance , which is for people over 65. It is not means tested & it doesn't matter how much money you have.If you're over State Pension age, you can apply for Attendance Allowance instead.
